With the completion of the remodeling for handicap accessibility, the Wild Ones Institute for Learning and Development or WILD Center opened its doors to the public in July 2008. Through the generosity of a couple of very special anonymous Wild Ones members, we are fortunate enough to own the entire property debt free.

The WILD Center grounds are accessible at all times for a self-guided tour. Near the office, you can pick up a tour guide which shows the trails and highlights stops along the way.

monarchVolunteer Opportunities: First Thursdays. Keeping the grounds around the WILD Center looking welcoming is hard work and a lot of fun. Find out more.

Volunteer efforts are always welcome anytime. We have yard cleanup to be done and invasive species to remove (buckthorn, honeysuckle, wild parsnip, etc.), as well as lots of just plain weeds. We also have gardens which need some TLC from time to time.

And we’ve put together a wish list for tools, equipment, and miscellaneous furnishings we’ll need.
