Rain Garden: Donated Plants
Most of the plants used in the WILD Center’s east raingarden (the backyard) were donated – some from Prairie Nursery of Westfield, Wisconsin, and some by Stone Silo Nursery of DePere, Wisconsin. The rest of the donated plants came from Wild Ones member Katie Larabell’s substantial native-landscaped yard..
Rain Garden: Prep Work
The main excavation work for the east raingarden site was donated by GW Partners of Neenah, Wisconsin, and Environmental Services Plus of Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Note the landscaping paint used to outline the area to be excavated. Additional prep work included rototilling work done by volunteers Dave Edwards, Doug Grant, and Dave Wherry. Karen Syverson is also shown getting ready to transplant some of the salvaged native plants.
